Thomas Weber has been an associate with Wiedner & McAuliffe
since 1989. With nearly two decades of litigation defense experience,

Among the significant cases in which
Thomas has participated are:
- Smithers v. Center Point Properties,
318 Ill. App. 3d 430 (2000), in which the Illinois Court
of Appeals affirmed the “fireman’s rule”
that property owners are not liable to injured firefighters
for risks incurred while they are on duty.
- Esposito v. Dior Builders, 274 Ill.
App. 3d 381 (1995), involving negligence and Structural
Work Act claims against various defendants.
- Williams v. Katz, 23 F.3d 190 (7th
Cir. 1994), in which the Seventh Circuit held that a workers'
compensation lien in Illinois attaches to any recovery an
employee might have, including that in a legal malpractice
action.
