Mark Wilkening’s practice with Wiedner
& McAuliffe focuses on workers’ compensation defense.
He has extensive professional credentials in the field as a past
officer and director of the Workers’ Compensation Lawyers
Association, an advisor to the Illinois House of Representatives
on workers’ compensation issues, and a frequent lecturer to
professional groups on relevant issues regarding workers’
compensation. Mark has practiced law in
Illinois for nearly 25 years. He joined the firm in 1986.

Professional Background
Mark has served as a technical advisor on workers’ compensation
issues for the Republican Staff of the Illinois House of Representatives.
Before joining Wiedner & McAuliffe, he was affiliated with Roddy,
Power, Leahy Ltd. and with High School Districts 218 and 228.
Publications and Presentations
Mark is a lecturer and faculty member speaking on workers’
compensation topics for the Illinois Institute of Continuing Education
and the Illinois State Bar Association. He has also been a lecturer
with Professional Education Systems, and has spoken before the Chicago
Claims Management Council.
Community Involvement
Among Mark’s community service activities, he has served as
Chair of the Walther Lutheran High School Board of Directors, and
is a youth basketball and baseball instructor.
