Client Representations
Among Janet’s workers’ compensation defense cases is
Lange v. Industrial Commission, in which the Illinois Industrial
Commission denied compensation, the Circuit Court reversed the finding,
and the Appellate Court restored the original ruling. The ruling
in favor of her client held that an employee’s injury from
forcefully pushing a candy machine to dislodge a purchase was due
to a voluntary risk that was entirely personal and outside any reasonable
exercise of his job duties.
