April Pruitt-Summers Summary Ms. Pruitt-Summers graduated from Southern Illinois University Carbondale in 1996, receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. She earned a J.D. from DePaul University School of Law in 1999. While attending DePaul, Ms. Pruitt-Summers served as a member of the DePaul Law Review. Ms. Pruitt-Summers has performed volunteer legal work for Test Positive Aware Network and McHenry Area Soccer Federation. Ms. Pruitt-Summers is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association and the McHenry County Bar Association. She is also a licensed member of the Illinois Bar and is admitted to the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
